From Skateboards to Infinite Seat Theater: How Jeff Revilla Is Amplifying Creators Through Live Podcasting

I had the opportunity to join Anika Jackson on the Your Brand Amplified Podcast to talk about something I believe deeply: creators deserve better business models, stronger communities, and real opportunities to monetize their work from day one.

We started with my early journey—running a skateboard shop in the early 2000s and discovering podcasting as a form of free education. While other business owners were paying for consultants, I was listening to podcasts and learning marketing, ecommerce, and digital advertising in real time. That unconventional education shaped everything that came next.

When my skate shop closed during the 2008 housing crisis, I didn’t see it as the end. I saw it as a pivot point. The skills I developed—social media, video production, digital ads—opened doors in digital marketing and eventually led me deeper into podcasting. Around 2015, I launched Stuff I Never Knew and started building community through interactive formats.

The real breakthrough came later. After the live-streaming platform Blab shut down and the pandemic changed how we gather, I realized something powerful: creators don’t have to choose between live audiences and digital reach. They can have both.

That’s where the “infinite seat theater” concept was born. At Poduty Live LLC, we operate a 40-seat venue that can simultaneously reach a global audience through live streaming. In other words, the physical room is intimate—but the potential reach is unlimited. A small local show can have the same digital capacity as an arena.

But this isn’t just about streaming. It’s about celebration. It’s about giving independent podcasters, entertainers, storytellers, and community leaders a stage where their work feels elevated and meaningful. Too many creators are stuck chasing downloads and waiting for ad revenue that may never come.

Here’s the reality: 90% of podcasts will never reach 1,000 downloads per episode. Yet just a handful of $10 live tickets can rival or exceed what most podcasters earn from host-read ads. Live podcasting flips the model. Instead of hoping for scale, you monetize connection.

At Poduty, we remove the friction. Creators don’t need to rent equipment, figure out ticketing systems, or hire production crews. We handle the logistics—ticket sales, production, revenue splits—so they can focus on what they do best: performing and connecting. It’s turnkey, collaborative, and designed to minimize risk.

My philosophy is simple. First: “No one cares.” And I mean that in the most freeing way possible. People are not thinking about you as much as you think they are. So put your work out there. Stop waiting.

Second: “Don’t bore us, get to the chorus.” Deliver value quickly. Respect your audience’s time. If you have something to say, say it with energy and purpose.

The future of podcasting isn’t just more downloads. It’s more connection. More rooms filled with real people. More moments that feel like events instead of background noise.

If you’re ready to bring your creative vision to a live audience and amplify it far beyond four walls, that’s exactly what we’re building. A space where small shows feel big. Where creators are supported. And where your next episode isn’t just published—it’s celebrated.
